KEN DOWN
Ken Down is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects, gaining a large deal of his professional satisfaction from delivering successful people places. He has worked on various retail masterplans and redevelopments from the iconic Sunshine Plaza Riverwalk, to the pedestrian walks from the Mooloolaba Retail Precinct flowing to the Mooloolaba Spit. Ken’s five years as a RAIA awards jury member combined with his extensive experience and international travel allows him to create and develop successful spaces that contribute positively to the development of our society though the provision of architecture.

RUSSELL TOPP
Russell has nearly 40 years experience in the construction industry and has achieved an Associate Diploma in Built Environment Technician – Architecture from the Queensland Institute of Technology. He has worked in the United Kingdom as well as in Australia.

BRETT BAILLIE
Brett has over 20 years of experience in the architectural industry. Since 2006 Brett has lived and worked on the Sunshine Coast. Along with raising a family and enjoying the Coast lifestyle Brett has continued his professional development in the local architectural industry. In particular Brett has sought to develop meaningful and productive relationships with clients, consultants, and colleagues to achieve quality architectural outcomes and an enjoyable professional environment.

BEAU VALENTINE-GREER
In the last 12 years working for Ken, Beau has amassed a wealth of knowledge covering many facet’s of Architectural practice from Design and detailing to project management and Contract administration. Whilst working for Ken, Beau has been involved with a vast array of projects from small toilet blocks’ for the local council all the way up to multi-unit developments.

NATALIE LIS
Natalie received her Master’s Degree in Architecture in January 2017 from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her focus was material culture using both digital and analogue fabrication. She is new to Ken Down Architects, but she brings diverse architectural background and will infuse an international flavour to the office.

FINANCE, ADMINISTRATION, HR MANAGER
Kathryn has worked with Ken Down for nearly 20 years, and has over 35 years experience in Finance, Administration, and Human Resources. Kathryn is a highly motivated and enthusiastic member of our team who has high standards and a professional approach to her work. Kathryn has worked in Sydney, Brisbane and London in Finance, Administration, and Hospitality, and has called Sunshine Coast home since 1989.
